LaKeith Stanfield takes center stage in the official full-length trailer for "The Book of Clarence," an upcoming Biblical epic that presents a bold reinterpretation of a timeless story.

In the film, Stanfield portrays Clarence, a struggling street merchant in Jerusalem. Confronted with various challenges and hardships, Clarence seeks to exploit the growing trend of a Messiah culture for his personal gain. However, his journey takes unexpected turns, propelling him on a path of self-discovery, faith, and transformation.

"The Book of Clarence" boasts a predominantly black ensemble cast featuring outstanding talents such as Omar Sy, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Michael Ward, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Nicholas Pinnock, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch also join the cast as Roman leaders.

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker and music producer Jeymes Samuel, known as The Bullitts, "The Book of Clarence" follows his directorial debut with the Netflix western "The Harder They Fall." The film features new original music by Jeymes Samuel, JAY-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Buju Banton, Jorja Smith, Shabba Ranks, Yemi Alade, and others.
