Check out the first official trailer for the eagerly awaited superhero film, brought to you by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, featuring Dakota Johnson in the starring role of Cassandra Webb, also known as Madame Web.

This film, part of Sony's Spider-verse franchise, unfolds the origin tale of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic working in Manhattan. After developing the ability to glimpse the near future, she embarks on a mission to protect three young women, portrayed by Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, and Isabela Merced, from the clutches of Ezekiel Sims, played by Tahar Rahim.

Ezekiel Sims, an evil supervillain bearing a resemblance to an ominous version of Spider-Man, possesses the same power to foresee the future. He is determined to eliminate these young women, namely Julia Carpenter, Mattie Franklin, and Anya Corazon, because they are destined to become superheroes, three distinct Spider-Women. Only Madame Web can intervene to save them from this perilous fate.

The cast also includes Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott, with direction by the acclaimed British television director SJ Clarkson, known for her work on series like "Jessica Jones," "The Defenders," "Succession," and "Anatomy of a Scandal."

"Madame Web" is set to swing into theaters early next year, beginning on February 14, 2024.
