'Tis the season for a dose of terror! While "Terrifier 3" won't grace the silver screen until October of next year, the creators of this beloved splatter-horror series are intent on sending shivers down your spine this holiday season.

Check out the official Christmas-themed teaser for the upcoming third installment of the ultra-gory indie horror film, featuring the now-iconic slasher villain, Art the Clown. Art, a mute, grotesque, and murderous phantom-like figure, typically adorns black-and-white clown makeup and sports a petite top hat. In this teaser, however, Art the Clown assumes the guise of Santa Claus, delivering an unforgettable scare to a young girl.

Writer-director and mastermind behind the franchise, Damien Leone, is reuniting with "Terrifier 2" breakout star Lauren LaVera for this new installment. LaVera reprises her role as Sienna Shaw, the final girl and cosplay enthusiast who faced off against Art the Clown in "Terrifier 2," which became a surprise Halloween box office hit in 2022 that thrilled fans of old-school gruesome horror. Elliott Fullam, portraying Sienna Shaw's younger brother Jonathan, and franchise stalwart Samantha Scaffidi, returning in a more prominent role as the possessed survivor Victoria Heyes, will also be back. And, of course, actor David Howard Thornton will once again don the clown makeup to portray the infamous Art the Clown.

"Terrifier 3" is currently slated to hit theaters next Halloween, on October 25, 2024. So, consider this teaser an early Christmas present that delivers a few chills for the holidays.
