The Amell cousins, Robbie Amell ("Upload") and Stephen Amell ("Arrow"), have joined forces once again for the upcoming second installment of their crowdfunded 2019 science-fiction action thriller, "Code 8," which originally drew inspiration from their 2016 short film of the same name.
Netflix is set to release "Code 8: Part II" next year, and the streaming platform has just unveiled the first official teaser.
Directed by Jeff Chan, who also helmed the first "Code 8" film and short, the forthcoming Netflix movie takes place in a future world where 4 percent of the population is born with superhuman abilities. This leads to the enforcement of strict policing measures, operated by highly advanced robotic officers.
Robbie Amell portrays Connor Reed, a character with electrokinetic powers, while Stephen Amell takes on the role of Garrett Kelton, a criminal leader who employs gifted individuals for heist jobs. In the forthcoming sequel, it appears that Connor and Garrett, despite their past conflicts, come together to protect a young teenage girl who has become a witness to a police cover-up, making her the target of a corrupt cop.
