From the producers of "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" comes an all-new sweeping WWII miniseries, this time spotlighting the valiant airmen who took to the skies.

Check out the first official teaser trailer for "Masters of the Air," an Apple original miniseries boasting a stellar ensemble cast featuring Austin Butler of "Elvis" fame, alongside Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, and Nate Mann.

This new nine-part miniseries is based on Donald L. Miller's bestselling book of the same name. It tells the harrowing true story of the courageous men who served in the 100th Bomb Group, dubbed the "Bloody Hundredth." These brave airmen embarked on treacherous bombing missions deep into Nazi Germany, confronting frigid temperatures, oxygen scarcities, and the profound dread of aerial battles waged at the staggering altitude of 25,000 feet.

The cast also features Raff Law, Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa.

Executive producers Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman collaborate on this project, while the script is penned by John Orloff, acclaimed for his work on "Band of Brothers." The series portrays the lives of these heroic aviators as they forge a deep and enduring camaraderie through acts of courage, sacrifice, and ultimate triumph.

"Masters of the Air" is set to premiere exclusively on Apple TV Plus on January 26th.

synopsis:
Based on Donald L. Miller's book of the same name, and scripted by John Orloff, MASTERS OF THE AIR follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the "Bloody Hundredth") as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Portraying the psychological and emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of Hitler's Third Reich, is at the heart of "Masters of the Air." Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all.
