Tina Fey's classic teen comedy "Mean Girls" has undergone a musical transformation tailored for the TikTok generation. Get ready for even more attitude, dance moves, and characters glued to their phones.

Here's the official trailer for the upcoming teen comedy "Mean Girls," based on the staged "Mean Girls" musical, which itself drew inspiration from the 2004 film and Rosalind Wiseman's book, "Queen Bees and Wannabes."

Angourie Rice, known for her role as Betty Brant in recent "Spider-Man" films, takes on the role of Cady Heron, a new student striving to fit in while navigating the high school's most ruthless social landscape. Along her journey, she crosses paths with "The Plastics," an elite clique of popular girls, and also forms connections with a group of non-conforming misfits and social outsiders.

The ensemble cast features Auli'i Cravalho, Renee Rapp, Jaquel Spivey, Avantika Vandanapu, Bebe Wood, Christopher Briney, with Jenna Fischer and Busy Philipps playing parents, and Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Ashley Park, and Tim Meadows portraying school faculty members.

Directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., "Mean Girls" is set to hit theaters on January 12th. Watch the newly-released trailer, above.
