Apple has released the first official trailer for the upcoming action comedy "The Family Plan," featuring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan, alongside Said Taghmaoui, Maggie Q, and Ciaran Hinds.

In this upcoming film, Wahlberg plays Dan Morgan, a dedicated family man content with a peaceful and ordinary life alongside his lovely wife, played by Monaghan. However, unbeknownst to his wife and teenage children, Dan used to be a skilled covert assassin with a secret past that now threatens his family's safety. To counter this threat, Dan must reawaken his dormant skills and take his family on an unplanned cross-country road trip to Las Vegas, where anything can happen.

Directed by British television director Simon Cellan Jones (known for "Ballers," "The Diplomat," and "Shooter"), this Apple original film also co-stars Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby, Maggie Q, and Ciaran Hinds.

"The Family Plan" is set to debut exclusively on Apple TV Plus on December 15th. Watch the trailer, above.

synopsis:
Family road-trips can be difficult, even without assassins chasing you... Dan Morgan (Mark Wahlberg) loves his quiet suburban life as a devoted husband, father of three and successful car salesman. But that's only half the story. Decades earlier, he was an elite government assassin tasked with eliminating the world's deadliest threats. When enemies from his past track him down, Dan packs his unsuspecting wife (Michelle Monaghan), angsty teen daughter, pro-gamer teen son and adorable 10-month-old baby into their minivan and takes off on an impromptu cross-country road trip to Las Vegas. Determined to protect his family -- while treating them to the vacation of a lifetime -- Dan must put his long-dormant skills into action, without revealing his true identity.
