TOHO Studios, the iconic Japanese film production studio renowned for classics like "Godzilla 2000," "Godzilla Final Wars," "Attack on Titan," "Shin Ultraman," and "Shin Godzilla," is bringing audiences a brand-new Godzilla movie. This time, the kaiju franchise returns to its roots, set in postwar Japan.

Check out the latest official trailer for "Godzilla Minus One," the newest addition to the ever-evolving kaiju film series, which also serves as somewhat of a franchise reboot. The film takes a fresh perspective on the iconic monster by merging classic kaiju action with the backdrop of a period drama set in post-war Japan.

The movie is both written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, an acclaimed filmmaker and visual effects artist in Japan, known for his work on movies like "Returner," "Always: Sunset on Third Street," "Space Battleship Yamato," and "Stand by Me Doraemon." Yamazaki is also recognized for directing the popular manga adaptation "Parasyte" and its sequel.

The film's cast features Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.
