Check out official trailer of the upcoming crime thriller "Finestkind," featuring an ensemble cast led by Ben Foster, Toby Wallace, Jenna Ortega, and Tommy Lee Jones.

The film is written and directed by Brian Helgeland, the Oscar-winning screenwriter known for his screenwriting work on films like "L.A. Confidential" and "Mystic River." Helgeland is also known for directing movies such as the Jackie Robinson baseball biopic "42" starring Chadwick Boseman and the Tom Hardy-led twin British gangster biopic "Legend."

In "Finestkind," Ben Foster ("Hell or High Water") and Toby Wallace (known for the upcoming "The Bikeriders") portray two estranged brothers hailing from a small fishing town. Faced with dire circumstances, the brothers strike a deal with a violent Boston crime syndicate. However, when the arrangement takes an unexpected turn, trust begins to erode among everyone in their circle, including a young woman played by Jenna Ortega ("Scream" and "Wednesday"), who becomes entangled in the chaos.

Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones joins the cast, playing the father of the two brothers, with a supporting ensemble that includes Tim Daly, Clayne Crawford, Aaron Stanford, Scotty Tovar, Lolita Davidovich, Meghan Leathers, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Fernanda Andrade.

"Finestkind" is set to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform Paramount Plus on December 15th. Watch the trailer, above.

FINESTKIND tells the story of two brothers (Ben Foster and Toby Wallace), raised in different worlds, who are reunited as adults over a fateful summer. Set against the backdrop of commercial fishing, the story takes on primal stakes when desperate circumstances force the brothers to strike a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. Along the way a young woman (Jenna Ortega) finds herself caught perilously in the middle. Sacrifices must be made and bonds between brothers, friends, lovers, and a father (Tommy Lee Jones) and his son are put to the ultimate test.
