Transporting to 1980s Brisbane, the upcoming Australian coming-of-age drama series, "Boy Swallows Universe," will take viewers on a suburban journey of love, redemption, and retribution. The story unfolds as a precocious boy and his selectively mute brother embark on a quest for these ideals after their family is torn apart by a drug lord.

Netflix has just released the first official teaser for the series, showcasing an impressive ensemble cast that includes Travis Fimmel, Zac Burgess, Phoebe Tonkin, Bryan Brown, Simon Baker, Anthony LaPaglia, and Sophie Wilde.

This series, created and written by the acclaimed writer John Collee (known for "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and "Happy Feet"), is based on Trent Dalton's best-selling semi-autobiographical novel of the same name.

Notably, Australian actor Joel Edgerton serves as one of the executive producers for the series. "Boy Swallows Universe" is on the horizon for Netflix, coming soon. In the meantime, you can catch a glimpse of what's to come in the official teaser, above.
