Netflix has released the official trailer for Part One of the sixth and final season of the acclaimed British royal drama series "The Crown." The season once again stars acclaimed English actress Imelda Staunton, known for her roles in the Harry Potter films, Vera Drake, and Downton Abbey, who has taken on the role of Queen Elizabeth II since Season 5.
Comprising a total of four episodes, Part One of Season 6, delves into the tragic narrative of Princess Diana (portrayed once more by Elizabeth Debicki). It encapsulates the period spanning from 1997 to 2005. The initial four episodes will portray Diana's final years, marked by her separation from Prince Charles (again played by Dominic West) and her highly publicized romance with businessman Dodi Fayed (played by Khalid Abdalla), ultimately culminating in the tragic car accident that claimed both of their lives.
This final season also features notable cast members such as Olivia Williams in the role of Camilla Parker Bowles, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.
Created by Peter Morgan, "The Crown: Season 6 - Part 1" is set to premiere on November 16th exclusively on Netflix.
The concluding six episodes, which make up Part 2 of Season 6, will delve into the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, as well as the aftermath of Diana's untimely passing. These episodes are scheduled to be released on December 14th, concluding the series in a momentous fashion.
