Emily Blunt is determined to chart her own course, but the industry she opts to enter thrives on lies, pain and the suffering of others. All in the name of making a quick buck.

Check out the official trailer for "Pain Hustlers," where Emily Blunt takes on the role of a resourceful and determined woman, working alongside a low-rent entrepreneur (played by Chris Evans) as they both seek to capitalize on the booming pharmaceutical industry.

Based on Evan Hughes' investigative book of the same name, the Netflix original movie delves into the world of opportunists who amassed fortunes by selling painkillers during the opioid crisis.

In the film, Blunt portrays Liza, a high school dropout who, against all odds, lands a job at a struggling pharmaceutical start-up in Central Florida. Evans plays Pete Brenner, the mastermind behind the operations. With Liza's charisma and determination, the company begins to thrive as they enter the painkiller market. However, their newfound success quickly ensnares them in a criminal conspiracy with fatal consequences.

The film features a star-studded cast, including comedy legend Catherine O'Hara as Liza's mother. Other cast members include Andy Garcia, Chloe Coleman, Jay Duplass, Brian d'Arcy James, and more.

Directed by David Yates, known for his directing work on most of the "Harry Potter" franchise and the "Fantastic Beasts" films, "Pain Hustlers" tells a story that explores ambition, greed, and the repercussions of pursuing wealth in the pharmaceutical industry. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 27th.
