DiCaprio takes on the role of Ernest Burkhart, a World War I veteran who relocates to Oklahoma in search of employment. However, his journey takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with and weds Mollie Kyle, played by Lily Gladstone, an Osage woman possessing immense wealth. Enter Robert De Niro as Ernest's uncle, William Hale, a sleazy Texan cattleman who cunningly exploits his nephew's marriage to infiltrate the Osage community and lay claim to their riches.

This much-anticipated movie, already generating Oscar buzz, is based on David Grann's highly acclaimed bestselling historical book. The book unravels the horrifying events surrounding the Osage people's murders in Osage County, Oklahoma, during the early 1920s. Forced to abandon their ancestral lands and resettle in a desolate region, the Osage tribe stumbles upon vast oil reserves, elevating themselves into one of the wealthiest communities in American history. Yet, their newfound prosperity stirs jealousy and animosity, triggering a string of brutal, unsolved crimes that eventually capture the FBI's attention.
