"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara undergoes a dramatic transformation to depict a real-life Colombian drug queen in this forthcoming Netflix miniseries.
Take a look at the very first official teaser for "Griselda," the latest cartel drama based on a true story from the creators of "Narcos" and "Narcos: Mexico."
In this six-episode miniseries, Vergara takes on the role of Griselda Blanco, a shrewd and ambitious Colombian businesswoman and a dedicated mother who forged one of the most lucrative cartels in history. Set over several decades, the drama delves into the rise and downfall of Griselda. Throughout the 1970s and 80s, she gained notoriety as a major cocaine trafficker for the Medellin cartel, earning herself monikers like "the Black Widow" and "Cocaine Godmother."
"Griselda" is set to premiere on Netflix early next year, starting on January 25th.
