Nicolas Cage sports a bald head and a tough attitude as he steps into the character of a rugged buffalo hunter in the upcoming frontier western drama "Butcher's Crossing."

The film is based on John Edward Williams' highly acclaimed 1960 novel of the same name. In the movie, Fred Hechinger, known for his role in Season One of HBO's "The White Lotus," portrays Will Andrews, a young college-educated man who drops out of Harvard in the early 1870s to seek adventure and explore the American West. He joins forces with Miller (Nicolas Cage), a mysterious and weathered frontiersman, for a buffalo-hunting expedition. Their journey through the wilderness tests their nerve and sanity.

The film's ensemble cast also includes Xander Berkeley, Rachel Keller, Jeremy Bobb, and Oscar-nominated actor Paul Raci.
