Just down the street, there's an old house with a spooky reputation for being haunted. Rumors suggest that the place might hold the secrets of a dark and sinister past. It's entirely possible that there's some truth to those stories.

Check out the official trailer for Disney's new original series "Goosebumps," which is inspired by the classic bestselling horror-and-mystery book series by author R.L. Stine.

Executive produced by filmmakers Rob Letterman (2015's Goosebumps) and Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors, Platonic), the new ten-episode series features a strong cast that includes Justin Long, Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Rachael Harris, Rob Huebel, and Ben Cockell.

"Goosebumps" follows five high schoolers as they dig into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the tragic death of a teenager named Harold Biddle thirty years ago. Along the way, they stumble upon hidden secrets from their parents' past, adding layers of complexity to this spooky tale.

Justin Long, who delivered a standout performance in last year's hit horror flick "Barbarian," takes on the role of a man who has recently moved into the Biddle house. Soon after settling in, he finds himself caught up in a series of unexplainable and supernatural events. This includes experiences that suggest he might be under the influence of Harold Biddle's restless spirit.

"Goosebumps" is set to premiere on Disney Plus and Hulu on Friday, October 13th, which seems like the perfect date for a show of this nature.
