Distinguished visionary director David Slade, of NBC's "Hannibal," "30 Days of Night" and "Hard Candy" fame, is back with a spine-tingling new horror film that promises to send shivers down your spine.

Take a look at the official trailer for "Dark Harvest," a new horror film adaptation of Norman Partridge's acclaimed 2006 novel of the same name. The story revolves around a legendary pumpkin-headed monster rumored to dwell within a cornfield in a tranquil Midwestern town. Every Halloween, local teenage boys engage in a competition to seek out this mythical entity, known as Sawtooth Jack. However, this year, a group of local teens has decided they've had enough of the legend and are determined to put an end to it once and for all.

The film features a cast that includes Casey Likes, E'myri Crutchfield, Alejandro Akara, and Dustin Ceithamer, along with Elizabeth Reaser ("Twilight"), Jeremy Davies ("The Black Phone"), and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel").

Adapted by screenwriter Michael Gilio ("Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves"), the film faced production challenges and had its release date postponed multiple times due to the pandemic.

"Dark Harvest" is now receiving a special one-night-only theatrical release in Alamo Drafthouse theaters on October 11th before officially becoming available on VOD and Digital platforms on Friday, October 13th, just in time to send chills down your spine for the Halloween season.
