Check out the official trailer for the upcoming horror film "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines," which serves as a prequel to the 2019 film "Pet Sematary," based on Stephen King's classic horror novel of the same name.

Set in 1969, the movie revolves around a young Jud Crandall, portrayed by Jackson White (from HBO's "Mrs. Fletcher"), as he prepares to leave his hometown of Ludlow, Maine in search of his life's purpose. However, before he can depart, Jud and his childhood friends stumble upon an ancient evil graveyard that has held Ludlow in its sinister grip since its inception.

The cast of "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines" includes Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LaBlanc, Samantha Mathis, Pam Grier, and David Duchovny.

Directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer, who previously wrote the screenplay for the 2018 Netflix teen comedy "Sierra Burgess Is a Loser," "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines" marks her directorial debut.

The film is scheduled to premiere exclusively on the Paramount Plus streaming service on October 6th. Watch the trailer, above.
