Later this month, Peacock, the streaming platform, is set to debut the new miniseries, a spinoff of the "John Wick" franchise, exploring the early origins of the iconic assassin sanctuary, The Continental hotel.

To give you a taste of what's to come before the premiere, Peacock has unveiled the thrilling three-minute opening fight sequence from the series. This electrifying scene features intense gunfights and hand-to-hand combat among highly skilled assassins.

Set against the backdrop of 1970s New York City, "The Continental: From the World of John Wick" stars Colin Woodell, known for his roles in "The Flight Attendant" and TV's "The Purge." Woodell portrays a young Winston Scott, the owner and manager of The Continental, a character originally portrayed by Ian McShane in the original "John Wick" films. The three-part series delves into Winston Scott's involvement in the establishment of The Continental and his role in shaping the hotel's future.

The series is written and executive produced by Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward, and Shawn Simmons, the creator of the cult series "Wayne." It boasts a talented supporting cast, including Mel Gibson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, Ben Robson, Peter Greene, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb, Katie McGrath, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi, and Marina Mazepa.

Filmmaker Albert Hughes, known for "The Good Lord Bird," directed the first and last episodes of the three-part series, while TVhelmer Charlotte Brandstrom ("The Witcher" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power") directed the middle episode.

"The Continental: From the World of John Wick" is scheduled to premiere on September 22nd, exclusively on Peacock.

synopsis:
The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he's dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970's New York City to face a past he thought he'd left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel's mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
