The challenge with spine-chilling nightmares lies in the unsettling difficulty of distinguishing between the realms of reality and the depths of our most fearful imaginations. Well, this seems to be the intriguing concept behind this new Norwegian horror film "Nightmare," which may leave you questioning the line between dreams and reality.

Check out the official trailer for the new atmospheric thriller that stars Eili Harboe, known for the Norwegian films "Thelma" and "The Wave," and Herman Tommeraas, who currently co-stars in Netflix's contemporary Norwegian fantasy series "Ragnarok."

In "Nightmare," Harboe and Tommeraas portray a young couple eagerly awaiting the arrival of their child. However, their lives take an abrupt and horrifying turn as they settle into a new apartment, only to uncover its chilling connection to supernatural forces. As the story unfolds, the couple is thrust into terrifying, lifelike nightmares that blur the boundaries between reality and unadulterated terror.

The film marks the directorial debut of Kjersti Helen Rasmussen, a prominent Norwegian screenwriter recognized for her work on the hit disaster film "The Tunnel."

You can catch "Nightmare" when it premieres in the US on the horror streaming service Shudder on September 29th.
