Austin Butler, known for his recent Oscar-nominated role as Elvis Presley, undergoes another significant transformation in "The Bikeriders." This period drama takes him away from rhinestone jumpsuits and propels him into the world of 1960s bikers, leather jackets, and switchblades.

Inspired by photographer Danny Lyon's 1968 photo-book of the same name, the film explores the rise of a fictional 1960s motorcycle club in Chicago through the lives of its members, played by Butler, Jodie Comer from "The Last Duel" and Tom Hardy, alongside Michael Shannon and Mike Faist from "West Side Story."

In the film, Butler plays a loyal lieutenant within the outlaw biker club, while Tom Hardy portrays the ruthless leader, and Jodie Comer is the woman who falls for Butler's character.

Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jeff Nichols, known for his work on "Loving," "Midnight Special," and "Mud," the film delves into the transformation of this group from a tight-knit unit of outsiders to a formidable gang of dangerous criminals.

"The Bikeriders" is set to hit theaters on June 21, 2024. Check out the newly-released official trailer, featured above.
