Liam Neeson returns to his Irish roots in the upcoming action thriller "In The Land Of Saints And Sinners," which explores the life of a retired assassin in a secluded Irish village. The film features a star-studded cast, including Academy Award nominees Liam Neeson, Kerry Condon (from "The Banshees of Inisherin"), and Ciaran Hinds (from "Belfast").

Neeson portrays Finbar Murphy, a professional hitman from Ireland who decides to retire to a tranquil coastal village. Haunted by his past deeds, Murphy aims to leave behind his life of violence and find redemption. However, his plans take a dramatic turn when a pair of Irish terrorists arrive in town seeking revenge.

The supporting cast includes notable actors like Jack Gleeson (aka Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones), Colm Meaney (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters), and Conor MacNeill (HBO's Industry).

The film is directed by Robert Lorenz, known for his work as a film producer on several Clint Eastwood films, including "Million Dollar Baby" and "American Sniper." Lorenz previously collaborated with Liam Neeson on the 2021 action thriller "The Marksman."

"In The Land Of Saints And Sinners" is set to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, with an official theatrical release date yet to be announced.
