Australian actress Sophie Wilde, who was recently seen this summer in the hit horror movie "Talk to Me," steps into the spotlight as the lead in the upcoming Netflix series "Everything Now." The British-produced series, which has unveiled an official trailer, appears to blend elements reminiscent of both "Heartstopper" and "Sex Education," adding to Netflix's impressive roster of coming-of-age teen dramedies.

In "Everything Now," Wilde portrays Mia, a 16-year-old girl in the process of recovering from anorexia. After an extensive journey through therapy to combat her eating disorder, she returns to her high school with the hope of resuming her life. However, she is met with the stark reality that her friends have moved on without her, and she must find a way to catch up.

The series comes from creator and writer Ripley Parker and is produced by the British production company Left Bank Pictures, known for their work on acclaimed series like "The Crown" and "Who Is Erin Carter?" The cast also features Lauryn Ajufo, Stephen Fry, and Vivienne Acheampong.

"Everything Now" is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 5th.
