Hulu has released the official trailer for "The Other Black Girl," an upcoming streaming series based on the bestselling debut novel of the same name by author Zakiya Dalila Harris.

Set in the corporate world of publishing, the darkly satirical workplace thriller series follows Nella, a young and ambitious office secretary, portrayed by Sinclair Daniel (from "Insidious: The Red Door"). Nella aspires to climb the corporate ladder and become a book editor or even an executive within her publishing company. However, as the only black woman in her workplace, Nella often feels marginalized and isolated.

When the company hires another black woman, an editorial assistant played by Ashleigh Murray (from "Riverdale"), Nella initially sees this as an opportunity to have an ally who can relate to her experiences. However, as the story unfolds, Nella begins to suspect that there is something sinister happening within the company, leading her to question the true nature of her colleague's intentions.

The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Brittany Adebumola, Hunter Parrish, Bellamy Young (Scandal), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), and Garcelle Beauvais (The Real). The show's premiere episode is directed by filmmaker Mariama Diallo, who previously earned acclaim for her similarly-themed psychological thriller "Master."

"Queens" and "Will & Grace" television producers-writers Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey serve as co-showrunners on the series, working alongside executive producers actress Rashida Jones and author Zakiya Dalila Harris.

In collaborated with Onyx Collective, "The Other Black Girl" is set to premiere on Hulu on September 13th. Watch the trailer, above.
