Star Wars fans, get ready for an exciting new series! "Ahsoka" is the highly anticipated Star Wars show featuring Rosario Dawson in the titular role. The series comes from the talented duo of Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, known for their work on "The Mandalorian."

"Ahsoka" centers around the character Ahsoka Tano, originally from Dave Filoni's acclaimed animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." In this new live-action series, Ahsoka enlists new allies and old partners to battle against the resurrected evil of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who claims to be the heir to the Empire.

Joining Rosario Dawson in the cast are Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, a former Imperial Academy dropout and bounty hunter, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, a former rebellion pilot. Additionally, the series will feature the vocal talents of British actor David Tennant as the voice of the droid named Huyang.

Sadly, it's important to note that Irish actor Ray Stevenson, who played the main villain Baylan Skoll, passed away last month at age 58, making this one of his final performances.

Fans can mark their calendars for the premiere of "Ahsoka" on Disney Plus, as it debuts on August 23rd. In the meantime, check out a couple of new official promo spots, featured above.
