Neill Blomkamp, the visionary filmmaker, who's responsible for the groundbreaking science fiction films "District 9," "Elysium," and "Chappie," is now leveraging his technical prowess to captivate moviegoers once again. This time, he is set to mesmerize audiences with his heart-pounding racing drama, "Gran Turismo," for which a new official trailer has been released.

Based on the best-selling PlayStation video game -- but also tells the incredible true story of British professional racing driver Jann Mardenborough, the film promises to deliver an unparalleled immersive experience, thanks to Blomkamp's implementation of cutting-edge cameras, along with specially designed mounts and rigs. This approach aims to capture the pulse-pounding sensation of being behind the wheel of a high-performance racing car.

Archie Madekwe, a rising British star known for his role in the Apple dystopian series "See," takes on the role of Jann Mardenborough in the film. Set in the competitive world of motorsports racing, the story showcases Mardenborough's unique journey from teenage video gamer to professional race car driver. Through his gaming skills, he transitioned into real-life racing success, winning Nissan competitions along the way.

Mardenborough has become a prominent figure in racing, leading the charge in high-tech professional race car training schools. These schools embrace the latest technological advancements and integrate video game techniques into motorsports education.

David Harbour from "Stranger Things" portrays Jann's experienced trainer, while Orlando Bloom of "Lord of the Rings" fame plays a savvy motorsport marketing executive. The cast also includes Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner, and Djimon Hounsou.
