Actress Rose Byrne has been remarkably busy lately. Not only did she just appear in the successful horror sequel "Insidious: The Red Door," but she also stars alongside Seth Rogen in Apple's uproarious buddy-comedy series, "Platonic." Additionally, Byrne will lend her voice to the mutant alligator Leatherhead in the upcoming animated film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem."

As if that weren't enough, Byrne has managed to find time to star in the all-new third season of her 1980s fitness guru comedy series, "Physical." Apple has released the official trailer for the final season, where Zooey Deschanel joins the cast as Byrne's new fitness rival.

Set in the idyllic yet fragile beach paradise of 1980s San Diego, "Physical" follows the journey of Sheila Rubin, played by Byrne, a housewife who transforms into a dominant fitness entrepreneur. Throughout the series, Sheila confronts personal struggles, including an unsatisfying marriage and the voices within her mind that have suppressed her for years.

With the support of her loyal friend and business partner Greta, played by Dierdre Friel, Sheila gains confidence and inner strength through her work with Body by Sheila. However, in the upcoming third and final season, Sheila's position is challenged by rising celebrity exercise goddess Kelly Kilmartin, portrayed by Zooey Deschanel. Kelly not only poses a professional threat but also affects Sheila on a personal level. The season will explore whether Sheila can prevail against Kelly's presence or if it will undermine the healing and stability she has fought hard to achieve.

"Physical" is executive produced by Rose Byrne herself, alongside show creator Annie Weisman. The season will premiere on Wednesday, August 2, on Apple TV Plus, with the first two episodes launching on that day. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays.
