Before Willy Wonka captivated the hearts and imaginations of children with his extraordinary candy creations, he was simply a young, lanky dreamer with grand aspirations of becoming the greatest chocolate maker in the world. So, this December, audiences will have the opportunity to witness the untold origin story of Willy Wonka in a new vibrant and whimsical musical extravaganza brought to you by the team behind the beloved "Paddington" films and the "Harry Potter" film franchise.

Check out the first official trailer for "Wonka," the highly anticipated film in which Timothee Chalamet takes on the titular role of a young Willy Wonka, decades before he built his chocolate factory empire.

Promising an intoxicating blend of magic, music, and humor, the film delves into the origins of the iconic chocolatier, magician, and inventor. British director Paul King once again teams up with screenwriter/comedian Simon Farnaby, following their collaboration on the much-adored children's classic "Paddington 2."

Taking inspiration from Roald Dahl's beloved novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and drawing from the beloved characters and imaginative universe Dahl created, "Wonka" weaves a tale that celebrates the power of dreams and the endless possibilities that lie within them.
