Check out the new official trailer for the quirky comedy "Problemista," which marks the directorial debut of Salvadoran comedian Julio Torres.

In this new A24 film, Julio Torres, known as an SNL writer and co-creator of the HBO horror comedy series "Los Espookys," takes on the role of Alejandro, an ambitious aspiring toy designer from El Salvador. He has recently arrived in New York with hopes of pursuing his dreams. However, with his work visa nearing expiration, Alejandro finds himself compelled to assist an eccentric outcast from the art world in order to secure his place in the country and transform his aspirations into reality.

The always magnetic Tilda Swinton co-stars as Elizabeth, an enigmatic figure entrenched in New York's art world. As Alejandro's new boss, she not only holds the power to shape his career but also becomes his potential lifeline as a sponsor.

The film, directed and written by Julio Torres, boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes RZA, Greta Lee, Catalina Saavedra, James Scully, and Isabella Rossellini.

"Problemista" seems to be a surreal and comedic exploration of the complexities of living in New York City and dealing with the U.S. immigration system.

The film lands in theaters on August 4th.
