Netflix has released the official teaser for the forthcoming series "The Chosen One," based on the renowned trilogy of graphic novels, "American Jesus," created by the brilliant minds of writer Mark Millar and artist Peter Gross.

The series revolves around Jodie, a twelve-year-old boy from Santa Rosalia, Baja California Sur, whose life takes a dramatic turn after surviving a freak accident. Jodie discovers that he possesses extraordinary powers reminiscent of Jesus Christ himself. He can perform miracles, such as turning water into wine, healing the crippled, and potentially even raising the dead. As Jodie grapples with his newfound abilities, he must come to terms with his destiny and lead the world through a conflict that has been brewing for thousands of years.

Starring Bobby Luhnow, Dianna Agron, Tenoch Huerta, and a talented ensemble cast, "The Chosen One" showcases the breathtaking natural beauty of the state of Baja California Sur, serving as a backdrop that integrates local elements and traditions to provide an authentic and immersive experience.

Directed by Everardo Gout, known for directing the thriller sequel "The Forever Purge," the Netflix series also boasts his involvement as executive producer and showrunner alongside Leopoldo Gout, who is one of the executive producers on the CBS series "Zoo."
