Netflix has unveiled the official full-length trailer for Season 3 of "The Witcher," starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Sadly, this will mark Cavill's final season as the monster slayer, as he departs the show due to creative differences and a demanding production schedule. Liam Hemsworth has been announced as his replacement for Season 4.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the intense moments that await Geralt in the upcoming season. War looms on the horizon, and Geralt finds himself in grave danger. As he draws his sword and faces the impending chaos, he expresses genuine fear. "History has a way of repeating itself," he solemnly declares. "The dangers we've seen foretell an even more menacing future. And for the first time, I understand real fear."
Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's bestselling fantasy books and the inspiration for the popular video game franchise, "The Witcher" has been a massive success since its 2019 debut. The series also features Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Joey Batey as Jaskier.
Season 3 will be divided into two volumes, with Volume 1 premiering on June 29th and Volume 2 on July 27th, exclusively on Netflix.
