"The Afterparty" is back with a bang in its highly-anticipated second season, and the official trailer has just been released. Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoe Chao return to lead the hilarious whodunnit comedy series on Apple TV Plus.

Created by Christopher Miller and executive produced by Miller and Phil Lord, the show revolves around a murder mystery where a group of friends becomes the prime suspects. As Detective Danner, played once again by Haddish, investigates the sudden murder at a wedding party, the eccentric cast of characters, including Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Anna Konkle, John Cho, Ken Jeong, and more, are questioned.

But here's the twist: Each episode focuses on a different suspect, and they get to tell their side of the story in their own unique style. It's what Haddish's Detective character calls "mind movies." So, it's a rollercoaster of genres as each suspect's perspective takes on the visual style of various film genres.

Co-showrun by Miller and Anthony King, the second season promises new film genres and an expanded cast. Get ready for laughter and mystery when "The Afterparty: Season 2" premieres exclusively on Apple TV Plus on July 12th. Check out the trailer above.

From Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord, each episode of THE AFTERPARTY explores a different character's account of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller's perspective. In season two, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Sam Richardson) and Zoe (Zoe Chao) solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers, and business partners, and hearing each suspect's retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style. Season two will introduce new film genres and an expanded cast of characters played by Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho, and Ken Jeong.
