And what is already being considered an early Oscar contender, check out the first official teaser trailer for director Martin Scorsese's upcoming epic saga, "Killers of the Flower Moon." The film is an adaptation of David Grann's critically acclaimed best-selling historical book of the same name, which chronicles the horrific events surrounding the murders of the Osage people in Osage County, Oklahoma, during the early 1920s.

Featuring a remarkable ensemble cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion, "Killers of the Flower Moon" brings to life the harrowing and tragic true story of the Osage Nation, a Native American tribe forced to uproot their lives and relocate to a desolate region of Oklahoma. Unbeknownst to them, their land was rich in oil, transforming them into one of America's wealthiest communities. Yet, their prosperity attracted envy and hatred from those around them, leading to a series of brutal unsolved murders that forced the FBI to intervene.

With a reported runtime of over three and a half hours, the film is adapted by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Eric Roth, known for his work on acclaimed films such as "Forrest Gump" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." "Killers of the Flower Moon" marks Scorsese's return to the director's chair since his 2019 Netflix hit, "The Irishman."

While being distributed by Apple TV Plus, "Killers of the Flower Moon" is set to hit theaters on October 6th, with a later streaming release on Apple TV. The film is also scheduled to make its world debut at the Cannes Film Festival this month.
