After just premiering at Star Wars Celebration, you can now check out the first official teaser trailer for "Ahsoka," the new, upcoming Star Wars series featuring Rosario Dawson in the title role.

Co-created and co-executive produced by "The Mandalorian" producers Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, the highly anticipated Disney Plus series centers on Ahsoka Tano, who is a former Jedi Padawan, and was once Anakin Skywalker's apprentice. The character originated in Filoni's acclaimed animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Dawson's Ahsoka briefly appeared in two episodes of "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett."

In the upcoming streaming series, it appears that Ahsoka is enlisting new allies and old partners for an impending battle against a resurrected evil.

"I started hearing whispers," Dawson's Ahsoka says in the teaser. "...about (Grand Admiral) Thrawn's return... as heir to the Empire."

In addition to Dawson, the cast of the series includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, an Imperial Academy dropout and a former bounty hunter; Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a former rebellion pilot, Hera Syndulla; Ray Stevenson as a red-lightsaber-wielding villain named Baylan Skoll; and David Tennant as the voice of a droid named Huyang.

The cast also includes Ivanna Sakhno and Eman Esfandi with Genevieve O'Reilly and Diana Lee Inosanto returning in their roles as Mon Mothma and Morgan Elsbeth. Hayden Christensen is also expected to make an appearance in the series as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

"Ahsoka" is set to premiere in the summer, sometime in August on Disney Plus.
