Check out the official trailer for the new science-fiction action thriller "Simulant," starring Upload's Robbie Amell, Fast X's Jordana Brewster, El Cid's Alicia Sanz with Shang-Chi's Simu Liu and Avatar's Sam Worthington.

The film takes place in a future world where humans and highly advanced A.I. androids coexist and in some cases, they live side by side.

Robbie Amell plays a "simulant," a cutting-edge clone android whose consciousness and identity are taken from a deceased man. But when he learns that he is a facsimile, he goes on a search to find his real identity.

Sam Worthington plays a ruthless government officer who is determined to halt the emergence of self-aware simulants. Jordana Brewster is the wife of the deceased man whose consciousness was uploaded into a simulant. And Simu Liu is a freelance A.I. engineer who helps out Robbie Amell's character by cleaning up his code to make him the ultimate simulant.

Directed by Canadian film and television director April Mullen (Below Her Mouth, Badsville, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Wynonna Earp), "Simulant" is hitting U.S. theaters and VOD on June 2nd. And the movie will open in Canadian theaters on April 7th.
