HBO has released the first official teaser for the new, upcoming fourth and final season of Bill Hader's acclaimed darkly comic hitman-turned-actor satire "Barry."

After coming off a stellar Emmy-winning third season, the dark comedy series sees Hader's Barry, a gloomy ex-Afghanistan veteran-turned-professional hitman who relocates to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, ends up in prison after being exposed by Barry's former acting coach Gene Cousineau (played by Emmy-winner Henry Winkler) in a thrilling sting operation. Still fuzzy on how events unfolded, Barry finds himself behind bars in season four. Barry slowly simmers with rage as he plans his break out and retribution.

Bill Hader is also expected to direct the entire final season. Besides winning two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Comedy Actor for "Barry," Hader had also earned several Emmy nominations for directing episodes on previous seasons. Though, this will be the first time he is directing every episode in a full season.

Co-created and executive produced by "Silicon Valley" producer-writer Alec Berg, the series also includes returning cast members Sarah Goldberg as Barry's off-and-on actress girlfriend Sally Reed; Stephen Root as Barry's ex-hitman mediator Monroe Fuches; and Anthony Carrigan as eccentric Chechen gangster NoHo Hank.

"Barry: Season 4" is set to premiere on April 16th on HBO.
