Check out the official trailer for the new psychological horror thriller "Spoonful of Sugar," starring Morgan Saylor (Blow the Man Down, White Girl, Homeland) as a shady babysitter with ulterior motives.

The film, which also stars Kat Foster (Jean-Claude Van Johnson), Myko Olivier (Five Points), Danilo Crovetti (Hunters), and David Yow (Under the Silver Lake), follows a young nanny (Saylor) who is hired to babysit a sickly boy who suffers from multiple allergies. Little do the parents know that the nanny is working for a nefarious cause, manipulating the entire family into thinking she is helping rather than hurting the boy.

Acclaimed music video helmer Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Marshmello feat. Bastille: Happier) directed the film, which screenwriter Leah Saint Marie wrote.

"Spoonful of Sugar" is slated to premiere exclusively on the horror streaming app Shudder beginning on March 2nd. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer, above.

synopsis:
Millicent (Morgan Saylor) working on her thesis about children with severe allergies, is hired to babysit little Johnny, a sickly, mute child who suffers from every allergy under the sun. As she discovers Johnny's dark family secrets things begin to become unhinged.
