The official U.S. trailer has been released for the new Australian drama "Blueback," starring Mia Wasikowska with Radha Mitchell and Eric Bana.

The film, directed by acclaimed Australian filmmaker Robert Connolly (The Dry, The Turning, Paper Planes), is based on the novel of the same name by renowned Australian author Tim Winton.

Mia Wasikowska plays an ocean activist who fights to preserve a healthy aquatic ecosystem. The drama follows her life as a teenage ocean diver who ends up befriending an enormous blue grouper.

"Blueback" is hitting U.S. theaters on March 3rd. The film will also be released on VOD on April 21st.

synopsis:
BLUEBACK follows Abby, a child who befriends an enormous blue grouper while diving. When Abby realizes that the fish is under threat, she takes inspiration from her activist Mother to take on poachers to save her friend.
