Go behind the scenes and watch how Tom Cruise performed one of the many spectacular death-defying stunts featured in the upcoming action film "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One."

In this newly-released featurette for the upcoming "Mission: Impossible" sequel, Cruise and filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie explain how they carried out the filming of a heart-stopping stunt that required Cruise to ride his motorcycle off a cliff before freefalling into a dicey parachute jump. It was highly dangerous. Highly breathtaking. And it's pure Cruise adrenaline.

"Dead Reckoning Part One" is the latest and seventh installment in the long-running action-spy franchise where Tom Cruise stars as IMF agent Ethan Hunt. This time, Ethan finds himself reteaming his loyal team of rogue agents which include computer technician Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), technical field agent Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), and former MI6 agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson).

Former IMF director Eugene Kittridge is returning to the franchise. He is once again played by "Mission: Impossible" actor Henry Czerny. Other cast members include Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, and Cary Elwes while Vanessa Kirby returns as black-market arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis.

"Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" (the first of two-parter) is scheduled to open in theaters next summer beginning on July 14, 2023.
