Identity Thief — Trailer

added: Wed, Sep 26th '12

If you thought Melissa McCarthy was hilarious in "Bridesmaids," then you'll likely get a nice kick to the funny bone when watching this trailer for her newest comedy "Identity Thief." Here, McCarthy plays a nutty shopaholic who has been feeding her outrageous shopping addiction by deliberately using the identity of an unsuspecting businessman (Jason Bateman). However, her credit card-stealing days are almost numbered, when Bateman finally realizes that someone has been messing with his bank account, and goes on a frantic search for the swindler.

"Horrible Bosses" director Seth Gordon is at the helm, while the cast also includes Amanda Peet, Eric Stonestreet, Genesis Rodriguez, T.I. and Jon Favreau. The movie will open in theaters on February 8, 2013.

Unlimited funds have allowed Diana (McCarthy) to live it up on the outskirts of Miami, where the queen of retail buys whatever strikes her fancy. There’s only one glitch: The ID she’s using to finance these sprees reads “Sandy Bigelow Patterson” ... and it belongs to an accounts rep (Bateman) who lives halfway across the U.S. With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes, the real Sandy Bigelow Patterson heads south to confront the woman with an all-access pass to his life. And as he attempts to bribe, coax and wrangle her the 2,000 miles to Denver, one easy target will discover just how tough it is to get your name back.
