Netflix has released an early behind-the-scenes promo for "Extraction 2," the upcoming action sequel in which Thor's Chris Hemsworth returns to star as Australian black ops mercenary Tyler Rake.
"Extraction" director (and former stuntman/stunt coordinator) Sam Hargrave also returns to helm, while filmmakers Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are again serving as producers. Joe Russo also wrote this upcoming sequel to the first film, which was based on the comic book "Ciudad" by Ande Parks and the Russo Brothers.
Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani (Rosewater, Paterson) is also returning as Nik Khan, Tyler's mercenary partner.
"Extraction 2" will be coming out sometime in 2023 on Netflix.
synopsis:
Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in EXTRACTION 2, the sequel to Netflix's blockbuster action film EXTRACTION. After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
