Come this September, you can see David Bowie as you have never seen him before ... on glorious IMAX.

"Moonage Daydream," for which an official full-length trailer has been released, is a new music documentary experience that explores the life and career of the trailblazing rock icon, chronicling the various stages in Bowie's creative and musical journey.

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Brett Morgen, whose credits include the acclaimed biographical documentaries "Cobain: Montage of Heck" and "The Kid Stays in the Picture," directed the film, which is sanctioned by the Bowie estate and features never-before-seen footage, including rare concert films and behind-the-scenes production videos.

The documentary will chart the many rock personas David Bowie invented throughout his long and illustrious career, specifically the genesis of Bowie's androgynous space rocker stage persona/alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust.

"Moonage Daydream," which was five years in the making, is due to open in theaters and IMAX on September 16th.
