The official teaser has been released for the sixth and final season of the adrenaline-fueled crime drama, "Animal Kingdom," starring Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, and Finn Cole as the Southern Californian crime family The Codys.
Inspired by the Australian true-crime drama, the acclaimed TNT series takes place in the Southern California beach town of Oceanside. The drama follows the criminal exploits of three surfing and thieving brothers, Pope, Craig, and Deran Cody, who must learn to work with their estranged, yet cunning nephew "J."
The final season will have the Codys scrambling around after a cold-case investigation has turned up evidence of their involvement with an unsolved homicide. With their backs against the wall, the Codys must find a way to squirm out of their situation before their California criminal empire completely falls.
Actress Leila George (Daughter of Vincent D'Onofrio) co-stars in the series, playing a young Janine "Smurf" Cody in flashback scenes. Smurf was played by Ellen Barkin in Seasons 1 through 4.
Created by Jonathan Lisco (Yellowjackets) and executive produced by Emmy-winner John Wells (ER, The West Wing), "Animal Kingdom: Season 6" premieres June 19th on TNT.
