Watch the first five-minute opening scene of director Roland Emmerich's new disaster sci-fi thriller "Moonfall," which stars Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson as NASA astronauts who discover a mysterious evil force on the Moon.
The film also stars "Game of Thrones" actor John Bradley, Donald Sutherland, Michael Pena, Charlie Plummer, and Kelly Yu.
"Moonfall" takes place in a world where an ancient alien force has knocked the Moon off its orbit -- and it's now hurtling toward Earth. In a last-ditch effort to save humanity, a motley team of astronauts, a retired NASA scientist, and a conspiracy theorist find themselves trying to uncover a long-held government secret concerning a strange nebulous ancient force living on the Moon.
Roland Emmerich, the director of "Independence Day," "Stargate," and "The Day After Tomorrow," also co-wrote and produced the film.
"Moonfall" is scheduled to open in theaters on February 4, 2022.

In MOONFALL, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all -- but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.
