Check out the first look teaser for the highly anticipated sequel to Sony and Marvel's Oscar-winning animated blockbuster from producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
The wildly inventive animated film continues the adventures of Miles Morales, a Brooklyn teenager who assumes the crime-fighting superhero role of Spider-man after being bitten by a genetically engineered spider. The first film introduced the concept of the "spider" multiverse where different variations of Spider-men and Spider-women from other dimensions land themselves into Miles' world. This time around, it seems Gwen Stacy will once again find herself reuniting with Miles for another superhero mission -- that is, once Miles is free of his parental restrictions.
The voice cast features Shameik Moore as Miles Morales; Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Woman; Issa Rae as Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker aka Spider-Man with Oscar Isaac.
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Kemp Powers (Soul), and Justin K. Thompson, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2 (Part One)" is currently scheduled to open in theaters in the summer of 2023.
