Amazon has released the first official trailer for "Reacher," the new action series based on the best-selling novels by Lee Child.
In this new small-screen adaptation for Amazon, Alan Ritchson (Titans, Smallville, Blue Mountain State) takes on the role of Jack Reacher, an ex-military police investigator-turned-drifter who, in an attempt to clear his name for a homicide he didn't commit, finds himself uncovering a small-town conspiracy in Georgia.
The series, which is written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated television writer Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), also stars Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie), Willa Fitzgerald (The Goldfinch) and Maria Sten (Swamp Thing) with Harvey Guillen (What We Do in the Shadows), Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), and Bruce McGill (My Cousin Vinny).
"Reacher" is due to premiere on February 4, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
synopsis:
REACHER follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a drifter, carrying no phone and the barest of essentials as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher's keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. One thing above all is for sure: They picked the wrong guy to take the fall.
