A brand new commercial has been released for "Hawkeye," the new MCU series that sees Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld as crime-fighting partners ... well, sort of. It's more of a teacher and student relationship.
"So, Kate is helping you with an Avenger-level threat," Vera Farmiga asks in the new clip. Farmiga is playing the mother of Kate Bishop (played here by Steinfeld). Kate is a teenage skilled archer who has been moonlighting as a local vigilante.
Kate finds herself teaming up with Renner's Clint Barton who is stuck in post-Endgame New York City for the holiday break. While desperate to return to his family before Christmas day, Clint is forced to deal with adversaries from his past. It seems this six-episode mini-series will be setting up the idea of Barton's passing the Hawkeye moniker over to Bishop, which happened in the comic books.
Created by producer-writer Jonathan Igla (Bridgerton, Mad Men), "Hawkeye" is set to stream on Disney Plus, starring on November 24th.

HAWKEYE is a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero.
