Go behind the scenes of the new Tom Hanks-starring sci-fi film for Apple TV Plus.

"Finch" is a post-apocalyptic science-fiction drama that sees Hanks as Finch, a lowly engineer who has survived a cataclysmic solar flare that has nearly demolished the planet. The solar radiation has also turned most of America into a desert wasteland. To survive the increasing hot-boiling weather conditions, Finch must embark on a cross-country road trip in a suped-up RV. He is accompanied only by his beloved dog, and a newly built A.I. robot (voiced and motion-captured by Get Out's Caleb Landry Jones).

The film is produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis and written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell.

"Finch" is directed by Emmy-winning "Game of Thrones" helmer Miguel Sapochnik whose directing credits include the acclaimed GoT episodes "Battle of the Bastards," "The Winds of Winter," and "The Long Night." Sapochnik also previously helmed 2010's sci-fi action thriller "Repo Men."

"Finch" is due to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform Apple TV Plus, beginning this Friday on November 5th. Watch the featurette above.
