Check out the official full-length trailer for Season 2 of the hit Netflix medieval fantasy series "The Witcher."
Based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's best-selling fantasy novels which have turned into a popular video game franchise, the series stars Henry Cavill as fabled monster slayer Geralt of Rivia.
Season 2 also sees the return of Freya Allan as Ciri, an innocent princess whose family has been slaughtered and is now under the protection of the stoic, misanthropic monster slayer for hire. Ciri possesses magical powers, yet she hasn't mastered them yet.
British actress Anya Chalotra is also back as Yennefer of Vengerberg, a former cripple peasant girl who is now a powerful black magic sorceress.
"Game of Thrones" actor Kristofer Hivju has joined the cast of Season 2. He plays Nivellen, Geralt's old friend who is a warthog-looking mythical humanoid creature.
Executive produced by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil, The Umbrella Academy), "The Witcher: Season 2" is due to premiere on December 17th, only on Netflix.
