Check out the very first official teaser trailer for "Nightmare Alley," the latest feature film from Oscar-winning visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

Featuring a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Rooney Mara, Richard Jenkins, Ron Perlman, and David Strathairn, the stylish noir film is based on the 1946 mystery/suspense thriller novel of the same name by William Lindsay Gresham.

In it, Bradley Cooper plays "Stan," a charismatic carny who works as an assistant to a carnival fortune-teller (Toni Collette). In the hopes of making it on his own as a world-famous mentalist, Stan finds himself striking up a relationship with an alluring and scheming psychologist (played by Cate Blanchett). And things only get weirder from there.

This is Guillermo del Toro's first feature film since winning two Academy Awards for 2017's "The Shape of Water." Del Toro also co-wrote the screenplay with film critic Kim Morgan. And there was a 1947 movie of the same name that starred Tyrone Power, which was also adapted from the same source material.

"Nightmare Alley" also costars Mary Steenburgen, Holt McCallany, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, and David Hewlett, and it's scheduled to open in theaters on December 17th.
